Good Grief MANCHESTER.
What is it?
Good Grief is a peer to peer support meeting and non-judgemental space for any adult who has been bereaved.
Good Grief is our original meeting, started to bring people together to openly discuss their stories and experiences surrounding their grief.
Good Grief Manchester, our newest in-person meeting, continues this purpose, providing a place for bereaved adults to be themselves and talk freely.
This is an inclusive meeting, open to any adult who has been bereaved.
The first meeting will take place on 21st October and you can sign up below!

Why did it start?
“My Dad died suddenly in 2022 and I did what most people do - gritted my teeth and struggled my way through the grief on my own. It was sheer chance that I learned about The New Normal and it immediately appealed to me, even without experiencing the power of peer-to-peer grief support previously. Three years after his death I started actually processing my grief openly, surrounded and supported by strangers who understood.
Through my other work, I knew there was a need for this kind of in-person grief support space here in Manchester, and I’m so incredibly grateful to Social Refuge for giving us a home.”
Erin, Founding Host of Good Grief Manchester
What to expect?
The meetings were created to give space to openly discuss experiences of grief in an empathetic environment, in the knowledge that they are shared with others who can relate.
